Become a Speaker

For those interested in speaking, we’re looking for individuals who can speak in a variety of public venues to diverse audiences. For example, middle and high schools, universities, faith-based and community organizations, government agencies and other venues are some of the groups we collaborate with. CMSB strives to educate about American Muslims and their faith as a means of promoting religious literacy, mutual respect, and understanding. Sound like something you’re interested in? You’ll thrive here!

CMSB speakers are trained to give a variety of presentations, including “Getting to Know American Muslims and their Faith,” “Muslim Women Beyond the Stereotypes,” “A History of Muslims in America,” and “Muslim Contributions to Civilization.” These interactive presentations include colorful digital presentations and Q&A with the presenter.

 What it Entails

CMSB speakers are certified after a rigorous process of professional development, testing, and observation in a live setting by veteran speakers to offer feedback & tips/tricks. We’re continuously learning side-by-side, and our monthly meetings are a great way to check-in, assess understanding, learn together, and build community.

When presenting, CMSB speakers adhere to the guidelines outlined in the ING (Islamic Network Group) and the First Amendment Center. These guidelines emphasize that speakers must adhere to the highest level of academic neutrality and objectivity when teaching about religion.

If you are interested in inviting guest speakers to your classroom, church, organization, or event please schedule a speaker on our website by completing the Presentation Request Form or email us at CMSB.
